Wine Identity

  • Origin

The Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG represents one of the most recognizable, solid, and elegant interpretations of Barolo wine.

Produced exclusively with grapes from the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, it rigorously expresses the verticality, structure, and minerality that have made this area one of the most celebrated in the entire denomination.

The terroir is dominated by compact gray marl, rich in limestone and minerals. The steep slopes and privileged exposure favor the slow ripening of the Nebbiolo, which acquires pronounced tannins, sustained acidity, and extraordinary aging potential.

The result is a Barolo wine from Serralunga d'Alba with a clear, austere and profound personality.

  • The Podere Gagliassi interpretation

Podere Gagliassi enhances the Serralunga d'Alba area with artisanal and organic production, based on manual selection, low yields, and a simple winemaking approach.

The Barolo from the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba offered by the winery combines:

    • strength and austerity typical of the area
    • technical precision
    • total fidelity to the character of Nebbiolo

A Barolo that doesn't seek immediate softness, but expresses rigor, longevity, and territorial authenticity.

With oxygenation, nuances of blond tobacco, graphite, roots, undergrowth and cinchona emerge, confirming the aromatic depth of the wine.
