Wine Identity
Origin and style
The Barbera d'Alba DOC, which grows on the historic Pian Romualdo hill in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, represents the most immediate, lively, and territorial expression of the Barbera grape variety in the Langhe.
Podere Gagliassi interprets this label with the aim of offering a straightforward, fruity, and gastronomic wine, capable of enhancing traditional dishes and adapting to a variety of occasions.
Production philosophy
The winemaking process focuses on maximizing aromatic purity and a fresh flavor. The absence of oak allows for the full expression of the varietal's distinctiveness: fruit, acidity, and smoothness.
Technical data sheet
Grapes and harvest
Grape variety: 100% Barbera
Harvest: manual, end of September/October
The harvest is selective and oriented towards picking perfectly ripe grapes, with attention to the balance between sugars and acidity.
Vinification and refinement
Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks
Aging: steel and bottle
All this happens without any passages in wood, to express the varietal personality in its most sincere and fruity form, giving life to a direct yet elegant wine.
Tasting notes
